Welcome to the Frog Follies This year we celebrate tradition, family and community with the 39th Frog Follies Festival. Held annually on the August long weekend, this non-profit event brings together people from all over for a fun-filled, action packed weekend. Some of the featured activities include one of Manitoba's largest slo-pitch tournament, a huge children's tent, activities for teenagers, a parade, fireworks, supper in the park, a social featuring one of Winnipeg's hottest bands, and of course, the Canadian National Frog Jumping Championship. For the residents of St-Pierre-Jolys, the Frog Follies weekend remains a great source of pride as they showcase their town to the world. Friends and neighbours get to experience the small-town charm and warmth of this vibrant Franco-Manitoban community. While the sports and entertainment venues attract many visitors from all over Canada, the crown jewel of the weekend continues to be the frog jumping. This unique competition has enthusiastic crowds cheering on kids, adults, business people and celebrity guests trying to win their respective events.
